Hi, I am glad you looked in on my profile!

Well, it all began at the age of 17; I began to notice that I had gained weight up to 169 pds. when my normal weight was 142. I began to diet and try and watch my weight and that is when the yo-yo dieting kicked in of course. I did not know it was yo yo dieting so I kept on going up and down, around and around until I just sort of began to go with the flow.

Why did I begin to go with the flow? Because, I did not believe that my body weight could get up to 200lbs, but with time it did. I also did not believe my weight could get up to 250, but it did. I honestly thought that my body would stop gaining weight somewhere in the 200's but it did not.

Well, today I weigh 310lbs. and I am a mother of one son with a wonderful husband who loves me just as I am. But although he loves me as I am, he and I both know that I am at risk for several different types of diseases such as: high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. So therefore,we have decided to defeat the weight through the DS surgery, exercise and lifesyle change. My big day is on Nov. 30, 2000 that's next Thursday.

Update March 8, 2001:
I am now 3 months post-op and weigh 255 lbs as my beginning weight was 315 lbs. I feel like A BLESSED THOUSAND DOLLAR BILL !
