I want to be able to enjoy all the sweet things life has to offer (without dumping. ;) I want to play with my little girl and live to see her be a mama. I want to be *on top* sometimes! This is about me and what I want. It's a selfish thing to do, in a good way. I am taking ownership of my body. I am going to be in the drivers seat from now on. For so long my body has been calling the shots and I DON'T like the path it is choosing, so I am going to find a new road to follow. I am going to have myself Switched and I am going to take back my life! It's been over a year and a half since Dr. O'Keefe suggested I consider this path... Wrong Insurance... Wait for Open Enrollment... Wait until January for the new Insurance to kick in... Contact Doctors... Fill out forms and histories... Wait some more... Have a huge battery of tests... Wait some more... Wait for approval for RnY... Wait for a surgery date... Discover the DS and change surgeries... Cancel the RnY... Make a new appointment with Dr. Rabkin... Wait some more... Wait for papers to be submitted to the Insurance company... Wait some more... Submit papers myself to Insurance... Wait some more... Make dozens of calls... Schedule surgery... Lose date to administrative snafu... Reschedule Surgery... Wait some more... Currently I am scheduled for Surgery with Drs. Rabkin and Jossart on November 28th... and waiting...
