Post-op (with my fiance)At the time on my surgery I was 32 years old and had been researching WLS for about a year. I am single, I have no children. I like the way I look, I was just overweight. I have checked with all my doctors that I had throughout my life and they all would say, “You’re overweight,” and, “Just watch what you eat then you would be ok.” Well I was not ok. You must know that I am a very, very picky eater, and what ever I ate would just stick to my body for years. For years this has went on getting bigger and bigger. I must tell you that this is the same for my entire family;we are all shaped the same: short, hippie and only 5 feet tall.

Going back before my surgery, I did have a hard time with my insurance company. They did not approve me on the first time, I had to appeal and I had to hire WALTER LINDSTROM on my appeal, which was very stressful to want and need something so bad and have to fight to have it done, when all sites, documents and doctors tell the insurance company that you need to have the WLS. I did appeal and I did get approved on an out of network service, which meant I was approved but only at 75/25 percent which is and was fine with me.

I would like to tell you that DR. GAGNER is very good at what he does. I can only speak for me, three days after my WLS and after I got home I had to call the doctor and I asked him if he really did the surgery on me as I did not feel like it at all; I could walk like nothing ever happened. I felt ok beside the soreness, and yes I did call him and I was crying because I thought this man had not did this surgery on me. GOD IS GOOD. now that I have lost weight and I still feel great. I now know he indeed did the surgery.

As of 04/08/2002, I am now at 153 lbs and 5 months post op I feel good. I know that I must work out more. I am trying to do more every day. I will update soon.

I would like to say thank you to Jennifer for everything.
